m=minimal setzt seine Zusammenarbiet mit Musiklegende Conrad Schnitzler fort.
>>> the label
m=minmal continues the collaboration with electronic music legend Conrad Schnitzler.
We are happy, after 30 years, to re-release one of the key works from Conrads large adventurous backcatalog.
Ballet Statique is not only a musical milestone but also a highlight of music production. It was recorded in 1978 at the legendary Paragon Studio / Berlin by Peter Baumann – Tangerine Dream in the same period when other masterworks like Cluster – „Großes Wasser“ and solo recordings of Roedelius and Asmus Tietchens were recorded.
Ballet Statique was first released on the legendary french label „Egg“.
This albums is a must have not only for fans of „the Emeralds“ and „Oneohtrix Point never“.

The Wire Magazine wrote about Conrad Schnitzler Zug:
“Kraftwerk might have used similar methods to create rhythm” and “three decades on, it still sounds the future”. We at m=minimal can only join those statements.
The release is rounded off with a remix of Con-Fan Stefan Betke aka Pole. Pole and Kassian Troyer (Radian) have mastered the record, best quality is guaranteed. Another remix is contributed by “borngräber and strüver“.

Conrad Schnitzler - Ballet Statique
Conrad Schnitzler's stints in both Tangerine Dream and Kluster were fleeting, but they were enough to ensure continuing interest in his labyrinthine solo catalogue. The music on Ballet Statique was originally released back in 1978 under the title Con, and the first Paragon Records issue is regarded by Schnitzler aficionados as indispensable. There have since been severall reissues, but this m=minimal LP goes back to the five tracks of the original, and the process reveals something of a lost Kraut classic. Recorded at the same time, and in the same studio, as Cluster's Grosses Wasser, it shares a similar balance of the austerely experimental and the dreamily engaging, moving deftly from the meditative pulse of the titla track to the jittery, metallic motion of the following "Zug".
